The Computer Science and Design major involves designing, researching and programming technological interfaces and products in a way that is easy and intuitive for people to adapt to and use.

Develop a strong grounding in computer science as well as an understanding of music, audio, music production, film scoring and sound design. You will hone your ability to use the techniques, skills and tools necessary for science and engineering practice, as well as design and conduct experiments. You will also learn to analyze and interpret data, and learn basic elements of music theory, performance, production and in working with sound and music in conjunction with other media.

Designed to equip K-12 teachers with both the comprehensive knowledge of computer science and the pedagogical skills necessary for effective classroom teaching. The endorsement program consists of 18 credit hours.

Develop valuable programming skills and a deeper understanding of algorithms, data structures and software development, which can enhance your problem-solving and analytical abilities across various industries. This minor can complement a range of majors and provide career opportunities in fields such as software engineering, data analysis, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. The minor consists of a minimum of 17 credit hours.
